Certification of Machining Processes for the Production of Stainless Steel Powder Tank

The welding process, crucial in the production of stainless steel powder tank, belongs to the category of so-called special processes. These processes require rigorous controls, which cannot be carried out during the course but only at the end, when the product is made. To ensure optimal results in the production of stainless steel tanks, validation of the process itself is necessary. Having validated welding procedures means guaranteeing excellence in the production of stainless steel powder tanks.

In Europe, welding procedures, which are essential in the production of stainless steel tanks, are standardized according to the rules of the EN 15614 series.

PWPS – Preliminary Specification of Welding Procedure.

Preliminary welding specification, prepared by the company specializing in the production of stainless steel tanks, where all the parameters used in the execution of a welding joint are given. This document is essential to ensure the quality and safety of stainless steel powder tank, containing all the information to perform high-quality welding. Based on this certification, the welding bead (which will be subjected to nondestructive testing and laboratory examinations required per se for certification) will be performed.
